Chef Jorge Mosquera has been in the culinary world for over 25 years. Born and raised in Ecuador, he found his passion for cooking when he relocated to the United States. He has worked and managed at restaurants all over Illinois, has been a Sous Chef for many years at Hyatt and Marriott properties. The last six years he has earned his title as Complex Executive Chef for multiple Hilton Hotel properties in Chicago. It has always been his dream to open his own business.
There was risk but there was far more motivation and drive to open a business in 2020. There was an opportunity to open a location in Elmhurst, IL and Pasta To Go officially opened in October 2020. Pasta To go has received so much support from the city of Elmhurst after a local Facebook group page was created to support local businesses. After it was created, Pasta To Go was the most talked about restaurant in a page that hosts 5,000 members and counting.
